Orama is a ‘global village’ with both kiwi and international volunteers learning, laughing, sharing and working side by side in daily life.​

We offer a unique opportunity to live and work in a faith community in one of the most stunning natural locations in the world.

We offer short-term* volunteer placements from 1 week to 3 months and from time to time long-term up to 12 months (subject to Board approval and only after initially volunteering for 3 months).

Whats included?

  • Wholesome work in exchange for food and accommodation
  • 1 to 12 weeks of work exchange with pre-determined arrival and departure dates
  • 5 days of scheduled work per week with 2 days off (where possible the days off are consecutive)
  • 6 hours of work per day
  • A working agreement that is settled following a mutual trial period to allow the opportunity for us to get to know each other to decide if the arrangement is suitable

Application Information

Orama is required to complete a security/police check on all applicants, we will email this application form to you; you will also receive a Volunteer Agreement form and a Community Guidelines form, to complete, sign and send back to us.
