Terms and Conditions for Catering Services

These terms and conditions apply to all catering orders placed with Orama Christian Trust. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1. Booking and Confirmation

1.1. All catering orders must be confirmed by signing the online order form.
1.2. A deposit of 50% is required to confirm your booking. The deposit is non-refundable.
1.3. Orders should be placed at least 14 days before the event to ensure availability. Late orders may incur additional charges.

2. Payment Terms

2.1. The balance of 50% must be paid at least 14 days prior to the event unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.2. Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other agreed methods.
2.3. Any outstanding balance must be settled on or before the event date.

3. Cancellations and Amendments

3.1. Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event will receive a 50% refund of the deposit.
3.2. Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will forfeit the deposit and may be subject to additional charges for costs incurred.
3.3. Changes to the order, including guest numbers, must be communicated at least 7 days prior to the event.

4. Food and Allergies

4.1. Orama Christian Trust will take all reasonable precautions to avoid cross-contamination, but cannot guarantee food is free from allergens.
4.2. Clients must notify Orama Christian Trust of any dietary requirements or allergies at the time of booking.
4.3. Orama Christian Trust will not be held liable for any adverse reactions to food consumed.

5. Delivery and Setup

5.1. Delivery fees will apply based on the location of the event.
5.2. Orama Christian Trust will deliver and set up food at the agreed time and location. Clients are responsible for ensuring access to the venue.
5.3. Delays caused by lack of access to the venue may incur additional charges.

6. Equipment

6.1. Any equipment provided (e.g., serving trays, chafing dishes) remains the property of Orama Christian Trust.
6.2. Equipment must be returned in the condition it was provided. Damaged or missing items will be charged at replacement cost.

7. Liability

7.1. Orama Christian Trust accepts no responsibility for food once it has been delivered and/or setup.
7.2. Clients are responsible for ensuring proper food storage and handling after delivery.

8. Force Majeure

8.1. Orama Christian Trust is not liable for cancellations or delays caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
9.2. Parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
