On-site Leaders

Treena and Dean Salthouse serve as the core of Orama’s leadership team, with Treena as General Manager and Dean overseeing all infrastructure and property work. They carry a shared commitment to nurturing Orama’s heart and purpose, working closely with the board to guide the community with care and clarity. Their leadership is grounded in a desire to honour Orama’s history while preparing it for the future, ensuring it remains a place of welcome, rest, and spiritual growth.

Together, they bring a deep sense of vision and responsibility to the daily life of Orama. Treena carries a passion for people, community rhythms, and the experience of every guest who comes through the gates. Dean supports the practical side of the mission, caring for the land, buildings, and systems that allow programmes, retreats, and community life to flourish. Their combined strengths help create an environment where hospitality is lived out through both people and place.

Their hope is that Orama continues to be a space where lives are shaped in meaningful ways, where visitors can slow down, reconnect, and encounter God, others, and nature. They lead with a desire to see Orama grow sustainably, serve generously, and remain faithful to the vision set in motion by Neville and Dorothy Winger. Under their guidance, Orama continues to move forward with purpose, embracing the next season with a spirit of hope, service, and community.
